Purpose

A father on his death-bed called his wife and son to bid them farewell. In the midst of the tears the son drew closer to his father to hear his last words to him. His father whispered in his ear and said “Son, don’t do life like I did. I didn’t do right by you or your mother and never really made a difference”. He then died.

If you had only six months to live, how would you live your life? How would you spend your time? Who would you spend your time with? What would you do?

You can never make a difference until you discover your purpose on earth. In the place of purpose significance is birthed and life finds meaning.

Purpose is becoming who you were born to be; doing what you were created to do, having what you were created to have within a specific time frame, that if well understood it could influence your generation and the generation yet unborn. Thereby leaving your thumb print on the document of destiny.

So how are you spending your time? Whom are you spending your time with, how are they helping you to grow? The father who was on the death bed may have thought he had all the time in the world to do all the great things he wanted to do. Be a good Husband to his wife, be a great father to his son and generally live out his dream, but life was cut short.

The truth is tomorrow is not promised. We are all living but we don’t know when our time will be cut off. One could say we’re on borrowed time and each day spent is important and can never be brought back. We enjoy reading about people who have left a legacy in this world or going to the museums and seeing people who done marvellous things that we are now enjoying, but what are we going to leave behind? Are we only going to be remembered by our family members when we die or are we going to leave our very own legacy?

Some people may not want to be remembered, they just want to go through the process of living and then dying as if they never existed. Well…. I choose to be different, I choose to leave a great name for my unborn children and the generation to come, I choose to leave my print on this world, even when I die they must know that I once lived.

Whatever you are doing in life, do it in the best way that you can. If you’re a singer, sing like you’ve never sang before. If it’s serving, serve like you’ve never served before. In all that you do, do it like only you alone can do it. No one can play football like you do. No one can style clothes like you do. No one can motivate like you do. Whatever you do understand that no one can do it like you do it. But YOU, yes YOU have to believe it first before anyone else can believe it.

So be a go getter and JUST DO IT

Love Always

WELCOME TO FINDING MY WAY

This blog is about the renewal of the mind, overcoming past failures and using them as a stepping stone for the future.

Let’s face it; we’ve all had challenges in our lives. We’ve had things we did not expect occurring. Some things we can change, whilst others we cannot change. Regardless of the challenges, they have all formed us into the person we are today,

Life is a journey and we are all bound to come across different hurdles that we must learn to jump. Some people choose to get stuck in the past and a few years later they realise that so much time was wasted on things they had absolutely no control over. Things happen in life to teach us lessons, now it’s our duty as students of life to learn from our past mistakes and make sure that if the test was to come again we are able to pass.

I have had my fair share of heartache and disappointments but one thing I have learned or I am learning in my journey in life is that , whatever I experience or go through, am not the first to go through it and I certainly won’t be the last. I refuse to beat myself up about what could have been and am working daily on what can be.

So join me on this journey of ‘Finding our way’

We are all on a journey and I hope you get to your desired destination.

Love always
